Alejandra Lemus is a Ph.D. candidate in the Sociology Department. She grew up in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico and her family immigrated to El Paso, Texas 23 years ago. She received her M.A. in Sociology in 2020 and B.S. in Applied Sociology in 2017 from Texas State University- San Marcos. She has previously worked as a case worker for a non-profit organization which connects migrant families to healthcare resources and assists with continuity of care. Currently, she works as a graduate research assistant with RIWP in the quantitative, qualitative, and policy analysis teams.
