Who are the immigrants?

Immigrants are people who voluntarily cross borders, typically for economic reasons. However, most immigrants leave their home country to move to a new country because of multiple factors, which may include personal, economic, educational, political, safety, and religious reasons. Immigrants must usually get the permission of their country of origin, of the receiving country, or of both.” However, undocumented, or unauthorized immigrants are those that for various reasons are not able to receive government permission. (De Sipio and de la Garza 1998: 4). Included in the project are immigrants from Spanish speaking countries. The majority have immigrated from Mexico.
